Class Spotlight: Pistol Mounted Optics Hosted By Jacksonville Sheriff's Office
Our most recent Pistol Mounted Optics class was held at Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office in Florida. In this class, we were asked to provide the instruction and training for road officers to certify carrying a red dot on the street. We had twenty-two eager to learn, officers put in the twenty hours of hard work to change over to the dot. Officers learned so much more than just the characteristics of shooting a dot in this class. Don’t just take our word for it, check out this dynamic testimonial from one of the officers.
“I attended the Pistol Mounted Optics Instructor course on 11/21 & 11/22. I must admit that I was a little worried about attending the course since I had never used an optic system prior to the course. Literally 11/21 was my first time using an optic system. However, Brandon’s course takes you from the beginning and builds up your confidence one step at a time. By the time you leave the course you will experience a significant improvement and confidence using an optic system. My accuracy significantly improved from day one to day two of the course. Brandon goes into fine detail explaining every facet of using the optic from shooting to the different pros and cons of the optic system. Not only does he provide thorough explanations, but he also demonstrated everything he teaches. The course was fast paced with a lot of shooting. It was a fun and learning experience for me and I highly recommend the course for beginners and expert shooters alike.” - Abe Jurado, 11/25/24
