Class Spotlight: Patrol Rifle Instructor Hosted By Bloomfield Police Department
Updated: Nov 18
A big shout out to the Bloomfield Police Department in Bloomfield, Connecticut for hosting our Patrol Rifle Instructor class this past September. We had 16 firearms instructors from multiple surrounding departments join us for this 3-day class. Our instructor classes push each instructor to their breaking point of performance so they can better understand the fundamentals of shooting. Those experiences, or “ah-ha” moments, get carried over and create a connection between the instructor and their teaching to benefit their future students. We also focus on the individual skill sets needed for each instructor to take back and build a foundational program for their department. Great job to this group, we can’t wait to be back in Connecticut in 2025!
Here is a breakdown of this three-day class.
Day 1 – Performance test followed by a breakdown of the fundamentals.
Day 2 – Performance test followed by transitions, movement, and proper use of cover.
Day 3 – Performance test followed by vehicle drills, shooting in, around, and through vehicles, and ending with a final performance test.
