Class Spotlight: Custom Class with Discovery Group in Volusia County, FL

We recently had the pleasure of providing a Firearms Instructor Refresher class for a private security group. They reached out to inquire if we could provide them with an up-to-date, instructor-focused class that would increase the effectiveness of their instructors. Specifically, they wanted to cover new techniques, drive new drill ideas, and improve their instructors’ abilities.  Not only can we provide this level of training, but we also specialize our custom instructor classes by focusing on the smaller details that bring the fundamentals together. One way that we did this was by introducing the Quiet Professionals Logbook. Throughout this class, they tracked their own times to understand how to apply time with their students. By the end, they understood that in using this skill, the question becomes, “What did you change or focus on to improve your performance?”. That then becomes what they share with their students to connect with them and help them understand how they then get to the next level.
