This little device in the event you are in a self defense situation and are unable to use one of your hands will enable you still rack your slide to clear a misfire or chamber a round. Easy to install and does not take away from functionality of the pistol. Very happy with this upgrade to my SC30.
I have installed Tac Racks on many Smith and Wesson and Glock firearms for years and demonstrated them to friends and fellow shooters. Especially valuable for personal defense training courses which simulate stress and critical situations. I highly recommend them.
All indications were that the TacRack -S&W Shield Plus would fit my Carry Comp version as I believed the TacRack has the same dimensions/configuration as the end cap that comes with the gun. It may still fit, but I am having great difficulty removing the original end cap from my new MP9 Shield Plus Carry Comp due to the pressure on the end cap being very tight. This, by no means, is of any fault of Wright Shooting or the TacRack. Great customer service provided by Wright Shooting.
